An important message from Dachshund Rescue of Houston:
Dear Doxie Lovers,
Dachshund Rescue of Houston needs your help. The Houston SPCA rescued a large number of dogs from a breeder in Alvin last month - including Dachshunds. The SPCA has been awarded custody of the dogs and we will be receiving the first of many rescued dachshunds on February 3rd.
Since we are currently at our limit, we anticipate two major needs: foster families and financial contributions.
Each dog will need to be brought up-to-date on shots, spayed or neutered, and possibly treated for other medical conditions such as heartworms, so the financial need will be great. Even more importantly, each dog will need a foster home where they can be loved and brought back to health before being adopted.

Please note: Our adoption fees have changed. For applications received after January 13th, 2010 the fee is $250 per dog or $150 for one of our seniors (10+ years).
