Wing is a handsome gentleman who found himself at a local shelter. Lucky for him DRoH was contacted and came to the rescue. Poor Wing had a rough earlier life and once he was vetted had to be treated for heartworms. He also had to have a dental and lost a few teeth in the process but that does not stop him from thoroughly enjoying his food. Wing has quickly adjusted to the good life, he likes to be petted and get belly rubs and enjoys snoozing in his comfy dog bed.

Wing is a silver dapple tweenie and weighs approximately 16 lbs and is estimated to be around 8-9 years old. He has slowly come out of his shelf and you can find him selecting a toy out of the toy box and taking it to his bed. He gets quite excited at meal time and now does a little dance when he sees his foster mom preparing his food. Wing also loves dog treats, baby carrots and cherry tomatoes! Wing likes to play with the water hose, the first doxie I've seen do that. When his foster mom waters the plants Wing tries to catch the stream of water, this fun activity always ends up with Wing getting soaked.

Wing has mastered the doggie door and is doing very well with housetraining. He gets excited when he sees his leash and knows he's going for a walk, he does very well on a leash, never tugging. He prefers gentle strolls to fast paced walks, especially in the Houston summer. On his walks he is always curious about other dogs and greets them with a gentle tail wag. Wing gets along very well with his foster sister and the resident doxies. He is a bit reserved at first, but likes other dogs and people.

Wing is looking for a lap and a loving family to call his own in return this sweet guy will give you a lifetime of devotion. Don't you want this wonderful doxie to be part of your family?
